Privacy Policy

In short: we collect only what we need to build, edit and host your website. We don't sell your information. Payment details go straight to our payment provider. You can ask us to delete your data at any time.
1. Who we are
Heartland Better Web is a service of Kwikcode LLC, a Kansas limited liability company. Kwikcode LLC is responsible for your information. Questions or requests: support@kwikcodeapps.com.
2. What we collect
- Account details. Your email address and sign-in information, handled by our sign-in provider, Clerk.
- Website content. The public pages of the sites you (or we) ask us to rebuild: text, images, hours and contact details shown publicly on those sites, and anything you add or change in the editor.
- Editor activity. The requests you type into the editor, pictures you upload, and the versions of your site.
- Payment information. Handled by Clerk and Stripe. We see your plan and payment status, not your full card number.
- Contact requests. What you send us through "Contact us" or "Is this your business?": your name, email, phone and message.
- Usage and technical data. Basic logs such as IP addresses, browser type and pages visited, used to keep the Service secure and working, and simple counts of how often a share link is opened.
- Domain details. The domains you connect and their public DNS settings.
3. How we use it
- To build, show, edit and host your website, and to put it on your domain.
- To run your account and billing, and to answer you when you contact us.
- To process editing requests with AI models that run on our own servers or are provided by AI providers acting on our instructions. We don't let them use your content to train their models.
- To keep the Service secure, prevent abuse, and fix problems.
- To contact a business about a preview of its website that we've prepared.
We don't sell your personal information, and we don't use it for advertising.
4. Who we share it with
Only with service providers that help us run the Service, under agreements that limit how they use it: Clerk (sign-in and billing), Stripe (payments), Cloudflare (hosting, security and delivery of your site), and AI and email providers when they're used to provide the Service. We may also share information when the law requires it, to protect people's safety or our rights, or as part of a sale or merger of our business (in which case we'd tell you).
5. Cookies
We use only the cookies needed to keep you signed in and the Service working securely. We don't use advertising or tracking cookies. Your published site doesn't set any cookies of ours.
6. How long we keep it
We keep your account and site data while your account is open. If you delete your account or ask us to, we delete your data within 30 days, except what we must keep for legal, tax or accounting reasons. Previews of public websites that nobody has claimed may be kept until removed, and the business can ask us to remove them at any time.
7. Your choices and rights
You can ask us to access, correct, export or delete your personal information, or to stop contacting you. Email support@kwikcodeapps.com and we'll respond within 30 days. Depending on where you live, you may have further rights under local law, and you won't be treated differently for using them.
8. Security
We use encryption in transit, access controls and reputable providers to protect your information. No system is perfectly secure, but we'll tell you promptly if a breach affects your data.
9. Children
The Service is for businesses and isn't directed at children under 13. We don't knowingly collect their information.
10. Where your data is stored
We're based in the United States, and your information is stored and processed in the United States and in the locations our providers use to run the Service.
11. Changes
If we change this policy in a significant way, we'll tell you by email or in your account before the change applies.
